The Godavari Dham temple, Kota is essentially a Hanuman Temple which is located besides the River Chambal. The temple is visited by many devotees especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays since these days are dedicated to the Hindu god, Lord Hanuman. A special midnight Aarti is also held on Tuesday and Saturday for taking the blessings of the god. Besides the idol of Lord Hanuman, one can also see many other smaller idols of the other Hindu gods and goddesses like those of Lord Shiva, Ganpati, and Bhairav also in the temple.
The temple has been constructed on a large area which is mostly rocky and open. People come to visit the Chambal Aarti which takes place near the river bed. The best time to visit the temple is during the early morning and the early evening hours.
The Godavari Dham temple can be visited from 7:00am to 8:00pm, on all days of the week.
